Dichroic Fused Glass Amulet by Kathleen Camara

• An Amulet is an object worn to protect the person wearing it against bad things (evil, illness, bad luck, & more)
• The artist created this gorgeous Dichroic Fused Glass Amulet from layers of colored & dichroic glass.
• First the artist creates a bottom layer of black.
• The next layer is created of pieces of Dichroic Glass (a color shifting glass that displays multiple colors depending on lighting conditions.)
• Then the artist adds the top layer of clear glass for depth and clarity.
• Once the Dichroic Fused Glass Amulet is assembled, the Artist cooks the art piece in a glass kiln at temperatures up to 1500 degrees.
• The extreme heat melts the glass pieces together and rounds and polishes the Amulet.
• This 7/8” X 1 ¾” Amulet on a 24” leather cord has color shifting blues and yellow earthtones.
• You will be able to wear this Amulet for everyday and special occasions.

About the Artist:

Kathleen Camara painted oil and acrylic portraits, animal art and seascapes for over 20 years.  Then she found fused glass art.  She is now creating jewelry, home decor and hand painted wall art.  A majority of her work incorporates recycled glass.  She still paints portraits, animals and seascapes, only now they are on kiln fired glass.
